AMR - Adaptive Multi-Rate

Adaptive Multi-Rate (AMR) is an audio compression format optimized for speech coding. The two versions of AMR are AMR-Narrowband (AMR-NB) and AMR-Wideband (AMR-WB). AMR speech codec is widely used in Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) and Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS).
