ESIS - Employees' State Insurance Scheme Employees’ State Insurance Scheme of India, is a multidimensional social security system tailored to provide socio-economic protection to worker population and their dependants covered under the scheme. Besides full medical care for self and dependants, that is admissible from day one of insurable employment, the insured persons are also entitled to a variety of cash benefits in times of physical distress due to sickness, temporary or permanent disablement etc.

CGHS - Central Government Health Scheme The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) is a health care facility scheme for the existing and former employees of the Central Government of India. The health care facility by CGHS is provided in some particular areas. The “Central Government Health Scheme” (CGHS) provides comprehensive health care facilities for the Central Govt. employees and pensioners and their dependents residing in CGHS covered cities. Started in New Delhi in 1954, Central Govt. SCHIS - Senior Citizen Health Insurance Scheme Government of India is implementing Senior Citizen Health Insurance scheme (SCHIS) for Senior Citizens of age 60 years and above, belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) and 11 other defined designated categories such as MGNREGA Workers, Construction Workers, Mine Workers, Licensed Railway Porters, Street Vendors, Beedi Workers, Rickshaw Pullers, Rag Pickers and Auto/ Taxi drivers with effect from 01.04.2016, as a top up scheme of RashtriyaSwasthyaBimaYojna (RSBY). The health coverage is uptoRs. 30,000/--per annum per senior citizen for treatment packages, over and above RSBY entitlement.

NHPS - National Health Protection Scheme  The National Health Protection Scheme (NHPS) scheme is formed by subsuming multiple schemes including Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana, Senior citizen health Insurance Scheme (SCHIS), Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), Employees' State Insurance Scheme (ESIS), etc. The National Health Policy, 2017 has envisioned Health and Wellness Centres as the foundation of India’s health system which the scheme aims to establish.
